Meet the Facilitators

The MyStillPlace Program is held by three facilitators who bring different histories, different disciplines, and different depths to the same work.

What they share is more important than what distinguishes them. Each has done this work on themselves. Each operates from a genuine understanding of what it costs to leave your StillPlace and what it takes to find your way back. Each brings something the others don’t — and across a six-week program and a two-and-a-half day intensive, that range of presence matters.

You won’t get a uniform experience. You’ll get a room — and a program — that’s genuinely held.

Billy Hill

Creator of the MyStillPlace Framework

Billy didn’t arrive at this work through a training manual.

He grew up in what he describes as any ordinary Australian country town, with good parents and a normal enough childhood. But life, as it does, led him to crossroads — and at some point he started asking the question that changes everything: what’s actually going on here?

That question took him on a thirty-five year journey through some of the most rigorous personal development work available. Process Oriented Psychology with Arnie Mindell taught him how to look past what’s obvious and really see. The Mankind Project taught him how to feel. David Collins’ Recovery Capital work honed his curiosity and moved him beyond the impulse to fix and toward a genuine fascination with the human condition.

Somewhere in that journey — through Gestalt, Process Work, co-founding the Bellingen Gestalt Institute, founding Storming Eden, ten thousand hours of coaching and two hundred workshops for groups of fifty to one hundred and twenty people — he found what Victor Frankl pointed to: the space between stimulus and response. The place where choice lives.

He calls it his StillPlace. And for the last decade, teaching others to find theirs has been the work.

Billy’s facilitation is unhurried, precise, and genuinely curious. He doesn’t work from theory about human experience — he works from inside it. Groups led by Billy tend to go deeper than participants expect, faster than they anticipate, and with a lightness that makes the depth bearable.

He is based in Australia and facilitates the MyStillPlace Program internationally.

Rob McClintock

Counsellor Specialising in Addiction, Clinical Hypnotherapist & MyStillPlace Facilitator

Based in Newcastle, NSW

Rob knows what it looks like when someone is doing everything right on the outside and falling apart underneath. He’s been that person.

His background is in addiction, depression and the kind of low-grade suffering that doesn’t always have a name but shapes everything — how you show up at work, how you relate to the people closest to you, how you talk to yourself at the end of a hard day. He recovered. He rebuilt. And then, rather than leaving that experience behind, he turned it into the foundation of his practice.

That lived understanding is what makes Rob’s facilitation different from someone who has only studied these patterns. He doesn’t need to imagine what it feels like to leave your StillPlace and not be able to find your way back. He knows. And he knows — with the kind of certainty that only comes from having made the journey himself — that the way back is available to anyone willing to look honestly at how they work.

What shaped Rob as a facilitator and practitioner as much as anything else is the MyStillPlace framework itself. Over more than five years of working in and with this methodology — first as a participant, then as a facilitator — the framework has become foundational to how he works, how he thinks, and who he is in the room with a client. It isn’t a tool he reaches for. It’s the ground he stands on.

Professionally, Rob is a Counsellor specialising in Addiction, a Clinical Hypnotherapist and practitioner of Mind Dynamics™ — a methodology focused on root-cause change rather than symptom management. He has been working in personal growth and self-development for over a decade, and brings particular depth to work around addiction, identity, self-worth and the patterns that form when core values have been under threat for a long time.

In the MyStillPlace Program, Rob brings both clinical grounding and a particular kind of directness — warm, honest and without flinching. He doesn’t work around the hard parts. He walks toward them with you.

Cheree Hill-Costin

Master Clinical Hypnotherapist, Counsellor & MyStillPlace Facilitator

Cheree brings a rare combination to the facilitation team: clinical precision and genuine human warmth. For someone who has spent years working at the sharp end of human struggle — PTSD, severe anxiety, addiction, depression, trauma — she has a lightness about her that her clients consistently remark on. Not because she takes the work lightly. Because she’s done enough of it to know that heaviness doesn’t help.

As a Master Clinical Hypnotherapist, counsellor, and trainer at the Mind Academy, Cheree’s work is built on a single conviction: that lasting change happens below the level of conscious decision-making. You can resolve, commit and white-knuckle your way through almost anything — and still find yourself back in the same pattern six months later. Real transformation requires working at the level where the pattern actually lives.

Her background spans performance coaching with professional athletes, trauma resolution, phobia work, substance and behavioural addiction, anxiety and depression. She has worked with police officers, psychologists, parents, young people and everyone in between. The range is deliberate. Cheree is interested in the human pattern underneath the presenting issue — and that pattern doesn’t respect category boundaries.

In the MyStillPlace Program, Cheree brings clinical depth to the facilitation and a particular sensitivity to the edges where participants need to be met carefully. She is attuned to what’s happening in a room, responsive to what isn’t being said, and consistently noted by participants as someone in whose presence it becomes easier to be honest.
